Based in Brighton

Specialist therapy, rooted in Brighton

Brighton has one of the UK’s most visible queer, kink and sex-positive communities, and this practice is built around that from the ground up.

It’s queer-led, kink-aware and neurodivergent-affirming as standard. Sessions run in person in Hove, Central Brighton or online, so it’s easy to fit around work, study or a commute either side of the city.

Brighton Psychosexual Therapy

Talking therapy for desire, pain, function and sexual anxiety, for individuals and couples, in Brighton or online.

Brighton Relationship Therapy

Support for communication, trust, conflict and connection, for any relationship structure, not just marriage.

Brighton Neurodivergent Sex Therapy

Sex therapy built around how autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent minds and bodies actually work, rather than against them.

Brighton Neurodivergent Couples Therapy

Neurodivergent-affirming work for couples and multi-partnered people, where sex, communication and sensory needs all need a seat at the table.

What we can work through

The patterns that bring couples in

  • Communication style clashes: direct vs. indirect, literal vs. inferred
  • Differing intimacy and sensory needs between partners
  • The double empathy problem - why misunderstandings aren't about one partner "not trying"
  • Emotional disconnection and repair after conflict
  • Rejection sensitivity in relationship conflict
  • Building a shared language for needs neither of you was taught to name

Worth understanding

The double empathy problem, briefly

You might have heard neurodivergent people described as having “poor social skills” — the double empathy problem reframes that: misunderstanding often runs both ways between different neurotypes, not one-directionally from a neurodivergent partner. In session, that reframe alone often changes how a couple talks about their conflict.

Getting started

Sessions, in person or online

Sessions run online across the UK, or in person in Brighton, whichever suits you better. Most people start with a free initial consultation, a low pressure way to ask questions and get a feel for whether we’re a good fit before committing to ongoing therapy.

Questions people ask about sex therapy in Brighton

Both. In-person sessions run in Brighton & Hove, and video sessions cover anywhere else in the UK.
Yes. Neurodivergent-affirming practice runs through all of the work here, not only the sessions labelled “neurodivergent.”
Relationship or couples therapy focuses on the relationship itself, while psychosexual therapy focuses on sex and sexual function. Many Brighton clients want both, and the two work well together. I see lots of people individually for psychosexual therapy.
No. Online sessions cover the whole UK, and Brighton & Hove is simply where in-person sessions are based.
Yes, as standard. This is a queer-led, kink-aware, sex-positive practice.
